Hi! It’s been a long while (college is a lot). I have a day off and decided to write a cosy post filled with cosy updates about some halloween-themed decorations and purchases, yummy food, and baking. Enjoy!
Part One: Halloween decorations for a tiny room:
The Jack-o-Lantern mug is a gift that I got a few years ago. The tiny white pumpkin is from a local farm. Last but not least is a halloween-themed votive with a fake sparkly orange candle inside from Christmas Tree Shops.
Also on the shelf: A Dia de los Muertos squishy skull
I just bought this yesterday at World Market. My sister has been collecting these slow-rising squishies and they are super stress-reliving, so of course I had to get a halloween-related one.
Part two: Food!
I’ve heard about this life-changing Cookie Butter before, but never saw it in stores in the US. So I was ecstatic to find a bottle at World Market. It’s dangerously addicting on toast, apples, or, of course, simply eaten with a spoon.
Monin Hazelnut syrup, because hazelnut flavor is the best addition to coffee. Added this to my ~collection~ of other flavors including pumpkin pie, toasted marshmallow and peppermint.
Pumpkin Spice flavored coffee from Dunkin Donuts, because who cares if pumpkin spice is basic? It tastes wonderful!
Nando’s Peri-Peri sauce, because it reminded me of England.
A French Press, because, sadly, I broke my old one.
Part Three: Fall Recipes
I’m currently on Fall break, and I’ve been sleeping in and baking pumpkin-flavored things all day every day. Here are a few recipes I’ve made.
Edible (!) Pumpkin cookie dough. This was supposed to have chocolate chips in it, but I used them up making pumpkin bars. Cookie dough is the best part of making cookies, and with this you don’t have to worry about getting sick from eating raw eggs!
Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Bars:
I make these many times every winter and fall, and they disappear in days. You can find the recipe here.
Thanks for reading! What are some of your favorite Fall recipes? Let me know in the comments!
